A loyalty platform built for the people who pour the drinks
We delivered the waiters incentive platform for Coca-Cola HBC Serbia and have been running and evolving it for four years. Now the same concept is going regional.
How it started
When Coca-Cola HBC approached us about building a waiters incentive program, we were already working in the HoReCa space. Kono.bar, a digital menu platform we had developed for the hospitality industry, had given us a practical understanding of how venues operate and how service staff actually work during a shift.
That context mattered when it came to the core question: how do you build an incentive program that fits into a busy shift without adding friction?
The waiter is the deciding factor
In the HoReCa channel, the waiter is the single most influential person in what a guest orders. Building an incentive program that works for service professionals is a different problem from consumer loyalty: it needs to fit into a busy shift, feel transparent and fair, and operate reliably across thousands of venues.
The core mechanic had to be fast enough that logging a sale adds no friction to the job.
Scan, track, rank
We built a mobile-first platform where waiters earn points by scanning QR codes from fiscal receipts. The system verifies each purchase in real time and tracks individual performance across venues. Rankings are published on leaderboards, and top performers earn rewards.
The design priority was speed. A waiter should be able to log a sale in seconds, not minutes. Everything else sits behind that core interaction: rankings, analytics, program management.
The same concept, a new region
Within the Coca-Cola HBC group, successful programs travel as best practices. The Adria business unit, based in Croatia and covering three markets, picked up the waiters incentive concept and decided to launch their own version.
Fiscal receipt infrastructure is not available in the same form across the region, so the mechanic changed. Coca-Cola Waiters Adria runs on codes printed under bottle caps. We built a new web application for this market, designed around the different input while keeping the same underlying logic: scan, verify, rank.

What four years looks like
The platform is still running. When the Adria business unit decided to launch their own version of the program, they built it with us.
That is the outcome we build toward on every engagement.
